Reconnecter is a new space for social connection in Buffalo and beyond, bringing people together in person and online.
In person, Reconnecter will present various communal vibes such as the Buffalodown variety show and a free and inclusive festival on summer Sundays in the heart of the city.
Online, Reconnecter will feature personal stories that inspire collective action, an inclusive community events calendar, and the Buffalodown free email newseltter.
Formed by social connecter Seamus Gallivan with a team of activists, artists, and content creators, Reconnecter seeks to expand our understanding of social connection, serving as a guiding light on the ultimate quest for beloved community as envisioned by Martin Luther King, who said in his Letter from Birmingham Jail:
“We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.”
